  • Thursday February 16, 2017: Miller Mayer H-1B Visa Free Webinar
Miller Mayer offers a free webinar on February 16 from 1:30-2:30 pm Eastern time titled "Rolling the Dice: How to Navigate the H-1B Lottery and Other Visa Options". Featuring our attorneys who have counseled area businesses for more than 25 years on business immigration, the program will provide insight to employers and workers on the April 2017 H-1B visa lottery. New regulatory definitions, new filing fees and forms, new student work benefits require a fresh look at H-1B opportunities. Attorneys Steve Yale-Loehr, Sandra Bruno, and Hilary Fraser will offer suggestions on how to successfully navigate immigration laws and regulations in employment settings. Visit the Miller Mayer website to find out more and to register!

  • Tuesday February 21, 2017: Work Authorization for International Students
    Room 290, Myron Taylor Hall
ISSO staff will discuss the visa process following graduation as well as options for summer employment.

  • Wednesday March 1, 2017: Visas After Graduation (this workshop is held in October and February/March every year)
Goldwin Smith Hall, Hollis E. Cornell Auditorium (Room 132), 7:00-9:00 pm: Presented by Rosanne Mayer and David Wilks, both from the Miller Mayer law firm, and ISSO Staff.
Come find out everything you will need to know about staying in the US after graduation. An immigration attorney in the Miller Mayer law firm and ISSO staff will explain the procedures for working immediately after graduating, working long-term in the US and eventually becoming a permanent resident (green card holder) if you so desire. This information is particularly crucial at the present time, given the H1B cap and new backlogs with employment-based green cards.
